Harbour investment options for wholesale investors
Premium Tailored Portfolio Service
Harbour offers a tailored portfolio service for select clients. This service is available for clients with excess of $5m to invest across asset classes. Harbour will offer both advice, and assistance, with designing a portfolio to help meet specific investor requirements.
We will gain an understanding of your investment requirements. A strategic asset allocation is modelled to provide parameters around asset allocation and expected returns - combined with levels of acceptable risk and volatility.
Once agreement is reached on the appropriate asset allocation, we will provide assistance in meeting client identification and verification requirements, to reflect regulatory obligations. We then invest your funds and assets as agreed, with the funds being held by an independent custodian on your behalf.
Once invested, the Harbour investment team will monitor your portfolio and may make tactical asset allocations to your portfolio, in line with your agreed objectives, and investment ranges. This tactical asset allocation ensures Harbour responds to market conditions, yet still has the ability to protect and grow your portfolio.
We provide comprehensive monthly reporting, commentary on markets and your individual portfolio, combined with consolidated performance reporting. We encourage clients to actively engage with our investment team as we believe that face-to-face meetings can deepen the relationship and strengthen communication. We also provide you with our latest investment thoughts and research.
Wholesale client investment solutions
For those wholesale clients who do not require Harbour’s Premium Tailored Portfolio Service, we can still meet your investment requirements. Clients with an excess of $750,000 to invest, we provide a range of both single sector and multi-sector funds for consideration.
We will gain an understanding of your particular investment requirements and will work together to agree on a single asset class solution or an appropriate blend of Harbour funds. We explain why we believe the Harbour fund/s will help deliver on the clients stated investment outcomes.

Income Fund – Wholesale
The primary investment objective of the Fund is to generate attractive levels of income each quarter. This is primarily achieved by holding a diversified portfolio of investment grade corporate bonds (*see investment process), while a portion of the Fund is held in New Zealand and Australasian listed equities to protect the Fund from the medium-term impacts of inflation. The Harbour Income Fund achieves this by investing in underlying Harbour Funds. Unit holders can opt to receive distributions on a quarterly basis.
