WHO ARE WE
Harbour is a New Zealand based asset manager with over 17 years collective professional investment experience managing funds for large government institutions, corporate superannuation funds, charities and mezzanine platform providers (such as Kiwisaver funds).
We formed in January 2010 with capital and infrastructure provided by First NZ Capital having previously worked together for up to ten years as the NZ Equity team at a large global investment manager.
With the launch of Harbour, we established the Harbour Australasian Equity Fund which was funded in April 2010.
The Harbour team comprises: Andrew Bascand, Kevin Bennett, Darryl Briggs, Craig Stent, Oyvinn Rimer and Jody Kaye. The Directors of Harbour are Graeme Wong (independent chairman), Wayne Stechman (independent director and head of audit committee), Bill Trotter, Andrew Bascand and Richard Bodman.

Harbour employs a combination of quantitative, macro and fundamental research approaches when selecting New Zealand and Australian equities for inclusion in portfolios. This approach provides diversity in the selection of our best ideas and assists in developing a strong sell signal.
Often the best fundamental research opportunities are un-earthed by our analysts that identify a divergence between the consensus earnings growth for a particular company versus the potential earnings growth our analysts forecast for that company. When the acceleration in earnings growth is ahead of consensus, this typically results in share price outperformance.
